No Fly Zone AZ

[zfp_photo id=’h2b9298e8′]

My buddy Matt O’Connor had been quite persistent in recommending that I attend the first annual No Fly Zone Half-Mile event at Gila Bend Municipal Airport and finally I gave in. Boy am I glad that Matt didn’t give up (thanks buddy!). I have to say… Continue reading

February 2014 Scottsdale Motorsport Gathering

[zfp_photo id=’h3331e06b’]

Usually the Shops at Gainey Village is PACKED with amazing cars and fellow motorsports enthusiasts on the first Saturday of every month. I was disappointed to roll into a largely empty parking lot for the Feb. 2014 event but thought that there would still be a decent showing. Much to my surprise Continue reading

AZ ModRod Night @ Piccione Performance

Rick @ Piccione Performance invited me out to the shop last Thursday to shoot the event that they hosted for the AZ ModRod club. It was a pleasure to meet some of the nice folks that are part of the AZ ModRod club. Great to see owners of American Muscle from competing brands getting together to enjoy each other’s company and admire the hard work that they put into their rides. Thanks to Rick, Tom and Piccione Performance for hosting and thank you to the members who shared their rides.

Here are my shots of the Piccione Performance 2014 C7 Corvette in the HRE Performance Wheels booth at The SEMA Show 2013. It was cool to see the car brand new at the Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering, in progress at their shop and then see it sitting on the stunning HRE wheels @ SEMA. They had a set of Blue P104s on the passenger’s side and a set of Gunmetal S107s with polished lips on the driver’s side, which do you prefer?

This was definitely the year of the C7, which is pretty sweet because it is such an amazing car. That being said, it is kind of like when you fall in love with a song but then you hear it on every radio station all the time. Fortunately, Chevrolet took the styling even futher in the Gran Turismo Concept and IMHO make it look even better. I still can’t figure out why the guys at GM are afraid to show off the Carbon Fiber? Would you rather have that rear wing in exposed or painted?#SEMA2013#C7,#Corvette#GranTurismo

I hadn’t ever been to a Sun Country Corvette Club show or meet up but I was very impressed by the quality of rides that the members brought out. It was definitely the largest gathering of Corvettes that I have personally seen and there was plenty of variety. I will be posting more photo sets of individual cars over the next few weeks. If you want to see yours sooner, drop me a line.
