I can’t thank Acura enough for giving me and my wife the opportunity to attend the Barrett Jackson Gala last night. It was an amazing evening and I was stoked to see the new NSX which will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson to further the work of two amazing children’s charities: the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground. We sampled delicious food from local restaurants, checked out amazing cars that are up for auction, enjoyed some fascinating people watching, and rocked out with a rare acoustic performance from Continue reading
As Oriana likes to say “if you won’t build it, I will” (in response to Chrysler pulling the plug on the SRT 300 and dashing her dreams). Oriana is no rookie when it comes to building sick 300s, you may recall seeing her previous ride (X-essive) at SEMA 2013 as the winner of the Chrysler Custom Challenge. When she heard that the SRT 300 would cease production in 2015 she snagged a 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT8 Core which provided her with a canvas to work her magic. Some of her most notable mods Continue reading
I think the first person I met @ SEMA 2014 was Matthew Spinney from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I was snapping shots of his Subaru WRX in the Flitz Polish booth and we started chatting about his ride. I really enjoy speaking with owners of cars that have built their cars themselves, I understand the passion and it is cool to see it in others. Matt and I connected again on Instagram (@wrxspinney) and got some details about him and his ride.
Matt grew up in south Florida and spent the majority of his life there until he joined the Army at age Continue reading
When I was at Spring Fest this year I noticed Marc’s Challenger and really like his attention to detail and unique execution. The Dodge Challenger looks mean to begin with, but you put a custom two-tone paint job, Speedlogix Hood, a 3″ Drop, some Oracle Halos, Viper Replica Wheels and… well you get the picture. One mean car gets even meaner.
Marc’s story is pretty cool, he was Continue reading
Like many of my of my features, I snapped shots of Robert’s ride at a show (SpringFest 9) and connected with him on Instagram (@bagdmpr) after I posted a shot of his car. We chatted about his ride and he shared his story with me; his story isn’t unlike many others, it started with a craving for a ride, then morphed into an obsession.
When Robert first Continue reading
I first saw this bold and bright 2nd Gen SRT8 Charger at the 9th annual Spring Festival of LXs (#SF9) and connected with Jonathan Webb through Instagram (@SRT8Frost). I really liked his car and had a chance to chat with him about his mods and his car’s journey to where it is today.
Grab a seat and get comfortable, this story is a doozy! Continue reading
This car was very moving to me @ SEMA 2013; I am not usually crazy about airbrushing on cars in general because it is often a little overdone for my taste but this tribute car was different. The story that it tells of the wounded warriors, the 80 living Medal of Honor recipients and the men of honor that have given so much to protect Continue reading
