With a recent win of the Goodguys Hot Rod of the Year award, this beautiful ’34 Ford Coupe is getting a lot of attention. Build by FastLane Rod Shop from Donahue, Iowa, this Hugger Orange hot rod looks and drives well. The body came from Steve’s Auto Restoration from Portland, OR and was further honed by FastLane Rod Shop. They placed the body over a custom-build chassis with JRI Shocks and So-Cal Brakes and 15″ Kidney Bean fronts and 16″ Big Window wheels in the rear from Real Rodders. At the heart of the beast, they dropped in a thoroughly worked ’65 425CI Buick Nailhead from Russel Martin from Centerville Auto Repair outfitted with Hilborn Injection, Custom Headers and fully prepped for show and go. The interior is on point with custom touches everywhere. It is no wonder why this beautiful ride received the Hot Rod of the Year award and I am glad that I got a chance to shoot it!
